1 SUMMER 2024 SESSION to choose from:

Discover the "secret sauce" many top athletes use to optimize their performance on and off the field.

It's called YOGA and it's pretty much the complete workout. 

In the 30 years I've been in the Wellness Industry, I've seen a lot of what works and a lot that doesn't,  as it relates to improving athletic performance.  I can say with 100% confidence that 1 modality that definitely DOES WORK is Yoga. 

I remember the day over 20 years ago when I first stepped into a yoga class and found myself thinking, "Where have you been all my life? Every athlete needs to incorporate this into their training, regardless of the sport." 

It was that profound. 

When you practice, you get endurance, strength, power, balance, stability, mobility, flexibility, concentration, coordination and mindfulness all in one place.

In this 5 day camp designed for young athletes ages 10-17, I'll introduce you to yoga in a way that is more scientific than spiritual.  We'll explore yoga asanas that will 100% enhance your athletic abilities, improve your focus and mental clarity and serve to decrease your stress levels.  

And please know, you DO NOT need to be flexible to practice yoga. Yoga meets you right where you are.


MONDAY: Introduction to yoga, benefits to athletes and yoga asana breakdown

TUESDAY:  Review poses and full yoga class experience

WEDNESDAYIntroduction to Meditation & Exploration of different styles of yoga asana practice

THURSDAY: Introduction to Breathing Practices & Continued exploration of different styles of asana practice

FRIDAY: Putting it all together. Full yoga practice experience incorporating yoga flow combined with Meditation and Breathwork.

  • Time: 1-3 pm
  • Cost: $150 
  • Location: Le Jardin Academy, Wang Gymnasium Weight Room (upstairs on 2nd floor behind bleachers)
  • What to bring: refillable water bottle, yoga mat, 100% willingness to learn and participate fully.
  • What to wear: comfortable athletic gear




LJA Strength and Conditioning Head Coach & Lead Wellness Specialist at Four Seasons Resort Oahu

Over the 30 years I've been in the fitness/wellness industry, I've had the pleasure and privilege to work with athletes and clients of all abilities from novice to professional, as well as having coached at the high school and Division 1 collegiate level. Over the years I've earned numerous certifications...Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Personal Trainer, Bootcamp Instructor, Yoga Teacher, Meditation/Breathwork Teacher and Certified Elite Tennis Professional. 

Everyday through my jobs of Lead Wellness Specialist for Four Seasons Resort Oahu and Head Strength & Coach for Le Jardin Academy, I have the incredible priviledge of sharing yoga, meditation, breathwork and fitness with people from all over the world. I LOVE IT ALL and hope to share my experience and enthusiasm with you. 

As for my athletic background, I was a 3 sport athlete in high school, playing soccer, basketball and tennis. In soccer I was Northwest Ohio's 1st-Ever All-American in 1987 (only 55 in the United States), I scored over 1000 pts in 3 years of Varsity basketball (senior year averaging 23 pts/game), and in tennis I finished 3rd in the state in both singles and doubles. My senior year, I received the Best All Around Athlete Award. 

At the collegiate level, I played both soccer and tennis at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. I was a 4 year starter in soccer, participating in 4 NCAA National Tournaments and in tennis I was nationally ranked as high as #17 in singles and #9 in doubles. My senior year at Emory University, I was awarded the Russell Bridges Award for Best All-Around Male Athlete at Emory University and was an NCAA Academic All-American in Tennis and Soccer.
